Complex system
The product created in the project is a complex system that manages the different agro-technological interventions and their interactions, such as soil tillage, nutrient management, cover crops. The project is expected to reach thousands of farmers either through direct sales or through consultants.
Continuous development
With its use, the product will continue to evolve and become smarter, so that it can provide more accurate and better results over an ever wider area. The system can also be implemented abroad and, once fine-tuned, can be used in other farming environments. This way we hope to make a significant contribution to soil conservation and sustainable soil use.
Detailed database
The resulting expert advisory system will thus identify all the main parameters that affect soil health, degrade soil functions and reduce sustainability. The advisory network will build heavily on the resulting database, which will be evaluated using modern data mining tools to create the expert advisory system, which will also make use of algorithmic and artificial intelligence-based data analysis methods. After the experimental development, the system will be built up from the following elements, which are intrinsically linked to each other, while also investigating the interaction between the elements:
- soil health assessment (soil physics, morphology, biology and chemistry)
- nutrient status assessment (soil chemistry and physics)
- nutrient management planning
- Chemical soil improvement planning
- physical soil improvement planning (agrotechnics, cover crops)
- soil biology remediation (agrotechnics, cover crops, bacterial preparations, chemical soil remediation)
Given the complexity of soils, the interaction of measured parameters (negative and positive or neutral) is also considered, and will be taken into account in the advice system and in the development of recommendations.
